I can't remember how Trevor started to work for me, but Knollys Rd was memorable. Trevor noticed ability in others, Mick, who came to us as a labourer, was spotted as (having been blind for a number of years) as someone with carpentry talent. Trevor promoted him and Mick never looked back.
I remember checking out roofs and watching Trevor stroll around as if was sauntering in his garden; fearless, grounded and a lovely man.
Many an hour spent discussing how much TV kids should watch, we agreed.
I still have my cop of tea in this, which T&L gave me, i think when they left for the south. I'll have to look after it now.
